Denali Park Day Excursion

The Denali Park Day Excursion is an excellent day trip to experience Denali National Park from the air as well as the ground. This is a great option for economical, independent travelers who are more flexible with time. The National Park Service operates multiple busses to and from Kantishna each day. Kantishna Air Taxi will fly you in to Kantishna and you ride the park shuttle bus back to the park entrance.

Kantishna Air Taxi's 35-minute flight takes you through the heart of Denali National Park, giving you a spectacular scenic view. If you choose, an additional 20-minute flightseeing tour can be added to your charter. The flightseeing will include flying you to the North face of Denali, traversing the expansive Muldrow Glacier and following the spine of the magnificent Alaska Range. The bus ride out offers an opportunity to see Denali's wildlife. You will be on the camper shuttle bus, which is more of an informal tour of Denali. The experienced driver/guides are resourceful on Denali's landscape and wildlife. They can stop the bus for wildlife viewing and photo opportunities.

Denali Jeep® Backcountry Safari

You and your fellow adventurers will take the wheel and follow your guide on a spectacular off-road journey on the Stampede trail not shown on most Alaska maps. This road was carved out of the wilderness by early miners working the area’s Kantishna gold fields and Antimony mine. The

Stampede Road gained notoriety more recently when John Krakauer’s best-selling book, Into The Wild, was published. This is the very same road that young Christopher McCandless, subject of the book, took to enter the wild, but never returned.

The first few miles of the Stampede Road are paved, but beyond that point your guide will lead you along some very primitive roadway providing you with plenty of bumps, dips and sways. Your Jeep Wrangler® carries four guests, and there will be several stops to switch drivers, so everyone can enjoy the thrill of maneuvering along this wilderness road. Interactive two-way radios allow your guide to interpret the area. You will stop for a break at a wilderness camp where you can enjoy a small "wilderness" cooked meal. Transfers in Denali are included. *Not recommended for very small children* Daily Departures; 7:15am, 11:15am, 5:45pm REGULAR PRICE $119, OUR PRICE $110! BOOK NOW

Jet Boat Safari

Denali River Safaris would like to extend and invitation to visit the "REAL ALASKA". The tourist pipeline in Alaska offers many great opportunities for sightseeing and wildlife viewing, but not many for rubbing shoulders with and learning from real Alaskans. This is a small family run business and their "staff" are friends & family showing and sharing their world with you. They are dog mushers, trappers, gold miners,

artists, craftsmen, hunting guides and woodsman. They live and work here year-round and are anxious to show you how they support the land that supports them. How do they do it? Well, getting there is half the fun! They take you by jet boat miles into the wilderness up the Nenana River to the camp where they make their living. You will see the sights they see every day. There is extraordinary mountain scenery at every bend in the river. Once at their camp they will demonstrate and tell you about the activities that keep them busy in this magnificent place throughout the year. You will taste their food, hear their stories and learn about their lifestyle.

Although they are not the primary focus of the tour, there is always the possibility that you will cross paths with wildlife. Our neighbors are caribou, moose, wolves and bears, to name a few. The boat launch is less than 10 minutes from McKinley Creekside Cabins. Daily Departures; 7:15am, 11:15am, 5:45pm. REGULAR PRICE $99, OUR PRICE $92! BOOK NOW
